Hello, my name is Rachel Schwindt. I am thrilled to begin my second year of teaching here at Peak! I was born and raised in Colorado, where I attended school in Jefferson County. I have a bachelor's degree from Metropolitan State University in 2014 majoring in fine art (ceramics) as well as art history. I received my master’s degree from the University of Colorado in 2018 with a focus on developmental math instruction. It is such an honor to be able to teach in the same district that gave me a phenomenal education as a child.

Outside of school, I enjoy fly-fishing, camping, hiking, running and seeing live music. My love for the outdoors and my love of working with children are finally able to connect at Peak. I feel so fortunate to work at a school that values outdoor education as strongly as academic instruction. I am looking forward to another challenging, meaningful and adventurous year at Peak Expeditionary School!
