Peak Expeditionary School at Pennington

Hello, my name is Mrs. Alisha! This is my second year teaching Kindergarten here at Peak. I was born and raised in New Jersey (GO EAGLES!). I received my teaching degree from Rider University in Elementary Education and a focus on Integrated Science and Math. After college my husband and I moved to Maryland where I taught fourth grade. After a few years in Maryland we decided to make the big move to Colorado. I fell in love with all Colorado has to offer; skiing, hiking, camping, and 300 days of sunshine! 

During my free time I love to go hiking with my husband and two dogs, watch sports, and complete home renovation projects. I love teaching here at Peak! I love seeing how deep our students learning goes when we support our curriculum with field experiences.

• The curriculum we use is Engage NY. Students access math through a balance of workshop, procedural fluency and conceptual understanding.
