My name is Mindy Trujillo and I absolutely love teaching kindergarten at Peak!  I was born and raised in a small Texas town before getting my bachelor's degree at Texas Tech University (GO RED RAIDERS!) and then moving to the Dallas area.  In Dallas, I attended the University of Texas at Dallas, completing my teaching certification program in 2004, which led me to teaching kindergarten in the area.  My husband, Paul, and I have two amazing kiddos, Drake (15) and Clara (11) who both attend different Jeffco Public Schools.   We moved to Colorado three years ago and all love the weather (Texas summers are no fun!), outdoor adventure opportunities and the wonderful community we have found!  After many years in several different roles within education, including everything from teaching at a school for children with hearing impairments to being the assistant director of a preschool, I have gone "back to my roots" of teaching kindergarten. Making learning challenging, adventurous and meaningful has always been my philosophy, especially when it comes to our youngest learners. I look forward to another amazing year of being part of the Peak CREW and connecting with students and their families to aide in their growth this year!
